(STUDIO CITY, CA) AVN has chosen adult superstar Tera Patrick to host the 2008 AVN Awards. The show will take place on Saturday, January 12th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas .
Since this year marks the 25th anniversary for AVN Awards, this year’s show has to be spectacular. It was the perfect time to invite Tera to host the event.
“This is a fantastic honor.” Beamed Tera. “To be chosen to host the 25th AVN Awards is amazing. I have been in this business for eight years and it doesn’t get much bigger than this.”
Though it is her first time as host of the show, Tera is no stranger to the AVN Awards. In 2001 she was named Best New Starlet and has enjoyed several nominations since then. Earlier this year, hosted the XBiz awards and also co-hosted the XRCO Awards with husband Evan Seinfeld.
“I’m so proud of Tera” Adds Seinfeld. “She has worked very hard both on and off camera during her career. I know how excited she is. As her husband I am glad to see her getting the recognition she deserves. I’m very proud of her.”
It has been a very big year for Tera’s company Teravision. With Dave Navarro’s “Broken” topping a list of chart-busting hits that include “Fashion Underground”, “Reign of Tera 2″ and “American MILF” 2007 has been the best year to date for Teravision. At the recent Venus Berlin Expo, Tera was named Businesswoman of the year and her interactive DVD “InTERActive” won the award for Best Interactive DVD.
Tera plans to make the 25th annual AVN Awards a show to remember. “This is the sort of honor that doesn’t come around every day. I plan on giving 100%. There is so much mainstream attention on adult awards shows these days. I won’t let the fan down. I never do anything half assed, so everyone should expect a great night.”
During the Adult Entertainment Expo, Tera will be exhibiting at her Teravision booth. She will also host her third annual “Diva Las Vegas Party” at the hottest nightclub on the Strip, Tao in the Venetian. Also known as the “Porn Star Ball” it will be a veritable who’s who of the adult entertainment business. The party will feature a fashion show showing off Tera’s Mistress Couture line of lingerie.
